Scene 1
The Sky Above
High up in the sky, two great forces watched over the world. There was the mighty North Wind, powerful and proud.
Scene 2
And the Gentle Sun
And there was the warm Sun, calm and patient, spreading light and warmth across the land.
Scene 3
The Traveler
One morning, as they looked down at the earth below, they spotted a traveler walking along a quiet country road. He wore a warm, comfortable cloak.

The Wager
The North Wind turned to the Sun. "I am the strongest of all!" he boasted. "I can make that traveler take off his cloak!
Scene 5
The Sun's Challenge
The Sun smiled gently. "That is quite a boast," she said kindly. "Would you like to try? Let's see who can make him remove his cloak.
Scene 6
The Wind Begins
I will go first!" declared the North Wind. And he took a deep breath. Whooooooosh!
Scene 7
The Traveler Holds Tight
The North Wind blew as hard as he could! The traveler felt the cold, harsh wind pushing against him. He grabbed his cloak tighter and tighter.
Scene 8
Blow Harder
Hold on!" said the Wind. "I'm not finished yet!" He blew even HARDER. The wind howled and gusted all around the traveler.
Scene 9
Still Holding Tight
But the harder the North Wind blew, the tighter the traveler held his cloak. No matter how much the Wind pushed and howled, the cloak stayed wrapped around him.
Scene 10
The Wind Gives Up
After a long time, the North Wind was tired. He had blown and pushed with all his mighty strength, but the cloak would not come off. "I cannot do it," he said, defeated.
Scene 11
The Sun's Turn
Now it is my turn," said the warm Sun gently. The North Wind moved aside and waited to see what would happen. The Sun began to shine.
Scene 12
The First Warmth
Gently at first, the Sun let her warm rays fall on the traveler. The warmth felt so nice. It was so much softer than the harsh, cold wind.
Scene 13
Getting Warmer
The traveler felt the pleasant warmth on his face and arms. "Ahhhh," he sighed happily. It felt like a gentle hug. He loosened his cloak a little.
Scene 14
The Cloak Opens
The Sun shone a little warmer. The day became more and more beautiful. The traveler felt so good in the warmth that he completely opened his cloak.
Scene 15
The Cloak Comes Off
And then, the traveler did something wonderful. He took off his cloak completely! He folded it and carried it over his arm, happy to feel the warm sun on his skin.
Scene 16

Scene 19
A Moment for Reflection
And what does this teach us, little ones? Sometimes, when we want someone to help us or listen to us, being kind and gentle works much better than being loud or mean.
Scene 20
Warmth Over Cold
When someone is cold and unhappy and you want to help them, do you yell and push at them like the harsh North Wind?
Scene 21
Kindness Wins
Or do you show them kindness and warmth, like the patient Sun? Which one made the traveler happy? Which one helped him without a struggle?
Scene 22
You Are Like the Sun
When YOU are kind to someone, you are like the Sun. You make them feel happy and want to listen to you. Kindness is a superpower!
Scene 23
Remember This
Remember: gentleness and kindness are stronger than force. When you want to help someone or get them to listen, try being warm and kind like the Sun, not cold and harsh like the Wind.
